In this dynamic remote role, you will capture, curate, and document audio across diverse environments, supporting critical data and creative projects with unmatched attention to detail. Ideal candidates possess a passion for immersive soundscapes and thrive in multifaceted, location-based recording scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-fidelity audio samples in varied environments, from urban settings to natural landscapes.
- Document and categorize ambient noises with precise metadata for project integration.
- Apply advanced mobile recording techniques using professional-grade equipment.
- Adapt to new locations and conditions, ensuring consistent audio quality and clarity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by providing concise written and verbal reports.
- Manage and maintain organized audio libraries for seamless retrieval and analysis.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in safety, privacy, and environmental protocols while on location.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in multi-environment audio capture and mobile recording technology.
- Demonstrated capability in ambient noise documentation and sound categorization.
- Proficiency with a range of field recording equipment and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
- Strong commitment to accuracy and quality in audio acquisition and data annotation.
- Adaptability to diverse locations and variable acoustic scenarios.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team coordination.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to logistical detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with large-scale audio collection projects or acoustic research.
- Background in audio engineering, sound design, or environmental acoustics.
