Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as a skilled Lube Technician, leveraging your mechanical expertise and diagnostic skills to ensure peak vehicle performance. In this expert remote role, you’ll maintain vehicles and machinery, utilizing cutting-edge OBD-II diagnostics and digital shop management tools while delivering outstanding technical communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oil and tire services, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
- Conduct comprehensive digital vehicle inspections using tablets, recording all findings in digital service logs.
- Utilize OBD-II diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic issues efficiently.
- Maintain and update digital shop management platforms with accurate service records.
- Communicate required repairs and maintenance recommendations clearly to customers, ensuring understanding and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the customer’s team to uphold safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency standards.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in vehicle maintenance and diagnostics technology.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Mechanical Certification and current ASE credentials.
- Hands-on experience with OBD-II diagnostic systems and digital shop management software.
- Proficiency in documenting and maintaining digital service logs.
- Strong technical verbal and written communication skills for effective customer and teammate interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform oil changes, tire services, and routine vehicle maintenance independently.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering accurate and thorough service inspections.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in shop operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a remote or digitally-driven automotive service environment.
- Advanced understanding of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic platforms.
- Customer service training or demonstrated excellence in customer communication.
