Job Title: Tier 3 Support Specialist
Job Type: Hybrid/Remote/Onsite
Location: Nueva Ecija (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; flexible for fully onsite or WFH with occasional office visits)
Job Summary:
Join our team as a Linux Tier 3 Support Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert technical support and driving IT excellence. You will tackle the most complex technical escalations, focusing on advanced Linux system administration while also supporting Windows environments and virtualized platforms. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative workplace, with flexibility in work setup.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; significant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration and IT support (must have experience providing Tier 3 or L3 support).
- Proficiency with Ansible, scripting, Microsoft 365 services, SQL, SharePoint, and Local Exchange.
- Experienced in installation, configuration, hardening, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Expertise with server virtualization technologies, including VMWare, Hyper-V, and KVM.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferably with experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Availability for immediate or short-notice start.
- WFH option: Owns equipment with reliable internet and backup connectivity for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the escalation point for advanced technical issues, specializing in Linux, with additional support for Windows systems.
- Proactively analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate server, network, and application problems.
- Configure, secure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with security best practices.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot virtualized environments using VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, and cloud services such as Azure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive IT projects, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Document technical incidents, solutions, and standard operating procedures to foster knowledge sharing across the team.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide expert support remotely, over the phone, or via email, with a focus on clear and effective communication.
