Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as a Portuguese Language Expert and play a pivotal role in shaping high-quality language data resources for cutting-edge projects. As a valued team member, you will leverage your bilingual skills and linguistic expertise to enhance data annotation processes and support impactful initiatives—all from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Annotate, label, and review Portuguese language data for use in AI and machine learning applications.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency in all data annotation and curation activities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on language standards and project guidelines.
- Provide expert feedback on language usage, translations, and data quality.
- Document annotation processes and suggest improvements for workflow efficiency.
- Participate in team discussions, sharing insights and best practices regarding language nuances.
- Contribute to the development of language resources tailored to project needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese and fluency in English.
- Demonstrated experience in data annotation and language data processing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of Portuguese grammar, syntax, and regional variations.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Experience collaborating in a multicultural, distributed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in linguistics, language studies, or a related field.
- Prior experience supporting AI or localization projects.
- Familiarity with annotation tools and platforms.
