Job Summary:

Join our team as a Religion, Arts & Literature Expert and play a pivotal role in an innovative project designed to evaluate and enhance AI understanding of Indian traditions, belief systems, and cultural expressions. You will ensure nuanced representation of India's vibrant artistic and religious life, providing context-rich analysis that goes beyond stereotypes and generic narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and curate tasks that probe AI models’ abilities to interpret Indian religious practices, festivals, literature, and art.
• Evaluate AI-generated content for contextual accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and depth.
• Collaborate with project leads to refine evaluation methodologies and dataset criteria.
• Conduct critical analysis and provide rich, descriptive feedback to improve AI outputs.
• Research and document case studies illustrating cultural and artistic nuances in Indian contexts.
• Draft clear, concise, and engaging analytical reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Champion authentic representation of Indian traditions, ensuring inclusivity and respect for cultural diversity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Cultural Studies, Literature, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in Indian or South Asian traditions, literature, and artistic forms.
• Experience in research, writing, curation, teaching, or editorial roles focused on culture or the arts.
• Advanced skills in critical reading, contextual interpretation, and analytical evaluation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to tone and nuance.
• Proven ability to articulate complex cultural concepts for varied audiences.
• Availability for 20+ hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree or specialized training in relevant fields.
• Previous experience contributing to AI, data annotation, or cultural content projects.
• Published work or academic research on Indian traditions, religious practices, or the arts.
