Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic IT environment, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of critical on-premises solutions, ensuring the highest standards of security, availability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain robust on-premises virtualization infrastructure, leveraging VMware and Microsoft technologies.
2. Oversee end-to-end administration of Windows and Linux operating systems, email, anti-virus, storage, server hardware, and endpoint security infrastructure.
3. Monitor and analyze security alerts, coordinate incident response, and ensure timely resolution of incidents in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
4. Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime.
5. Evaluate system design, recommend enhancements based on international best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership, summarizing metrics, incidents, and actionable trends.
7. Collaborate closely with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate security measures, conduct audits, and foster a culture of information security awareness across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. VMware and Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional).
3. ITIL certification is a must.
4. Minimum 7 years in a Systems Administration role, with proven expertise in managing on-prem solutions.
5. Deep technical knowledge in compute, storage, networking, security, identity management, and automation using PowerShell or similar tools.
6. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
7. Demonstrated experience in enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions, and capacity planning.

Preferred Qualifications

1. MBA or relevant project management certifications (Waterfall and Agile).
2. ISO27001 certification and familiarity with GDPR, PCI, UAE, and other international security standards.
3. Over 5 years of experience managing complex systems projects and implementing security governance practices.
