Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Technician to join our customer's team. As an expert in smart irrigation systems, you will be responsible for managing plant health and landscapes using advanced automated controllers and GPS-guided equipment. You will play a key role in optimizing landscape care and coordinating remote crews, ensuring efficient, data-driven results.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, program, and repair irrigation systems with smart controllers to maximize water efficiency and plant health.
  2. Utilize GPS mapping applications to survey grounds and create accurate, up-to-date irrigation maps.
  3. Oversee and manage plant health through precise pesticide application, maintaining compliance and best practices.
  4. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation equipment, ensuring optimal system performance.
  5. Coordinate and dispatch landscape crews using mobile and cloud-based platforms for seamless workflow management.
  6. Document system changes, maintenance schedules, and application records with strong written communication skills.
  7. Analyze irrigation data and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance landscape sustainability.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Valid Pesticide Application License with proven hands-on experience.
  2. Expertise in smart irrigation software and automated controller systems.
  3. Advanced equipment maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.
  4. Strong coordination skills for managing remote crews and scheduling tasks.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate remote team operations.
  6. Experience with GPS mapping tools for landscape and irrigation planning.
  7. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to landscape management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience managing large commercial or multi-site irrigation projects.
  2. Background in horticulture or landscape technology.
  3. Fluency in emerging irrigation technologies and best sustainability practices.
