In this role, you will interpret visual meaning, describe scenes with nuance, and help shape the next generation of AI technology through expertly crafted film annotations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review short film clips and generate clear, vivid scene descriptions
- Identify and analyze visual themes, character movements, and narrative tone
- Revise and enhance AI-generated scene descriptions for accuracy and readability
- Annotate stylistic choices and cinematic elements, providing detailed insights
- Ensure descriptions capture both the intent and mood of scenes for AI training
- Collaborate with a remote team, synthesizing feedback to refine outputs
- Maintain consistency and attention to detail across all annotation tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Background in film critique, journalism, or film studies
- Exceptional descriptive writing skills with a talent for evocative scene-setting
- Expertise in film style, visual motifs, and cinematic language
- Proven ability to interpret scenes and communicate cinematic intent
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and nuance
- Strong aptitude for working collaboratively in a remote environment
- English proficiency at Native or C2 level
- Availability for at least 30 hours per week over a 2-4 week project
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with annotation tasks or AI training data
- Portfolio of published film reviews or scene analyses
- Familiarity with a range of film genres and international cinema
