This part-time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to apply your deep understanding of Indian governance, public service delivery, and policy analysis to evaluate how AI interprets and reasons about the intricate dynamics of Indian society. Your expertise will directly influence the development of technology that understands and supports better policy outcomes in India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate AI systems’ ability to reason about Indian public institutions, policies, and governance structures.
- Design and apply analytical rubrics to assess AI responses on topics such as welfare, healthcare, education, and regulation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop realistic policy scenarios and test cases.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of AI-generated outputs related to government programs and regulatory frameworks in India.
- Provide nuanced feedback and policy insights to inform AI system improvements.
- Document findings with clarity, highlighting gaps and opportunities in AI’s understanding of Indian contexts.
- Communicate complex policy trade-offs and institutional functions both verbally and in writing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Governance, or Development Studies.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in policy research, government programs, NGOs, or think tanks.
- Demonstrated expertise in Indian public systems and service delivery mechanisms.
- Strong applied policy reasoning skills, specifically within the Indian context.
- Exceptional analytical skills and experience with evaluation rubrics or frameworks.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field (Master’s or higher).
- Experience evaluating or implementing technology solutions in public sector contexts.
- Track record of publishing policy analysis or recommendations in reputable forums.
