Job Summary:

Join our team of Marine Mechanics and play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of marine vessels in the picturesque British Virgin Islands. This on-site, hands-on position is ideal for a skilled professional passionate about marine engine systems, troubleshooting, and repair, who thrives in a collaborative environment and values strong communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair outboard and inboard marine engines, generators, and related electrical/mechanical systems.
  2. Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on a variety of vessels.
  3. Perform welding and fabrication of marine parts, ensuring durability and compliance with safety standards.
  4. Maintain detailed service records and communicate technical findings clearly both verbally and in writing to clients and team members.
  5. Work collaboratively with other marine professionals to coordinate vessel readiness and repair priorities.
  6. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations in the workplace.
  7. Advise on parts procurement and assist with inventory management as needed.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of a vocational school or higher in a relevant field.
  2. At least 3 years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing outboard/inboard marine engines and generators.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in welding and fabrication of marine parts.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear technical explanation and teamwork.
  5. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  6. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in marine environments.
  7. Proactive problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
