Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated linguistic responses for accuracy in grammar, semantics, and pragmatic usage.
- Rephrase and refine language-related questions to maximize clarity and linguistic precision.
- Apply and calibrate assessment rubrics to judge AI outputs on structure, coherence, and tone.
- Classify words and sentences by their linguistic functions, including syntactic roles and discourse elements.
- Deliver comprehensive written feedback to guide improvements in AI language capabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance and maintain evaluation standards and methods.
- Remain engaged with linguistic research and NLP advancements to ensure best practices in evaluation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, English Language Studies, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of linguistic theory, grammar, semantics, and discourse analysis.
- Proven ability to analyze, evaluate, and reframe written text for clarity, meaning, and structure.
- Exceptional command of English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of objectivity in language assessment.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with linguistic annotation, corpus analysis, or evaluating language models.
- Familiarity with rubric-based scoring and qualitative evaluation of textual data.
- Background in computational linguistics, natural language processing (NLP), or a passion for language variation and pragmatics.
