Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as an expert Inventory Specialist and play a pivotal role in the seamless movement of merchandise within a dynamic retail operations environment. You will leverage digital inventory systems, drive accuracy and efficiency, and ensure that stock flows effortlessly from delivery through to the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and track merchandise using RFID scanners and handheld digital devices.
- Oversee the flow of inventory from receiving to back-of-house, ensuring timely stocking and replenishment.
- Utilize ERP and inventory management software to update records and monitor stock levels in real time.
- Coordinate digital "Buy Online Pick Up In Store" (BOPIS) queues, supporting a seamless omnichannel retail experience.
- Lead the rotation of stock to optimize sales floor presentation and minimize aging inventory.
- Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and resolve back-of-house challenges.
- Safely lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs as needed in daily operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in using RFID technology and handheld scanners for detailed inventory tracking.
- Proficient with inventory software and ERP systems for data entry and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with speed and clarity, both in writing and in person.
- Proven capacity to lift and handle packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong balance of speed and accuracy.
- Strong spatial organization skills for efficient stock management.
- Collaborative approach to problem solving in fast-paced retail environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in retail operations or back-of-house inventory leadership roles.
- Background in managing omnichannel inventory flows, including BOPIS fulfillment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements in digital inventory systems.
