Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze, cleanse, and transform institutional data using advanced tools including Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
2. Design and implement user-centric dashboards and KPI reports, ensuring they align with standardized reporting frameworks.
3. Develop and run complex SQL queries to extract, manage, and organize data from relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
4. Operate and monitor pre-configured ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Airflow) to ensure efficient and reliable data processing.
5. Apply statistical analysis techniques to uncover trends, generate predictive models, and deliver data-driven insights supporting strategic initiatives.
6. Uphold strict data governance and privacy policies, especially while handling sensitive government and educational data.
7. Automate repetitive reporting tasks through Excel macros, Power Automate, or Power BI scripting to enhance efficiency and scalability.
8. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, translating complex findings into clear, concise, and actionable written communications for a variety of stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related domain.
3. Proven mastery of Power BI and/or Tableau for developing advanced dashboards and interactive reports.
4. Expertise in SQL for complex querying, extraction, and manipulation of large datasets.
5. Demonstrated ability in data preparation, transformation, and visualization to support informed decision-making.
6. Strong commitment to written communication in an asynchronous work environment.
7. Track record of working with institutional reporting, KPI tracking, or policy impact analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with R programming for statistical analysis and complex data visualization.
2. Experience using cloud BI platforms such as Azure Synapse for data extraction and analysis.
3. Understanding of AI concepts or experience with AI-augmented dashboards, and knowledge of educational data standards (e.g., IPEDS) is a significant plus.
