Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a PhD - AI Trainer, leveraging your advanced expertise to shape the next generation of AI. In this impactful role, you will provide highly specialized, domain-level feedback to improve AI model performance using Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF). Your insights will enhance the accuracy, fairness, and usefulness of AI systems, creating a bridge between academic rigor and AI innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert, domain-specific evaluations on AI-generated outputs, ensuring accuracy and relevance across specialized fields.
- Critically assess AI responses for clarity, ethical considerations, and contextual appropriateness.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to refine AI models based on your feedback and findings.
- Design and apply robust research methodologies to structure model training and evaluation.
- Champion multidisciplinary input to foster stronger, more equitable, and capable AI systems.
- Contribute to creating a knowledge hub that integrates wide-ranging academic insights into AI development.
- Participate in flexible interview and selection processes tailored to your field of expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant discipline: STEM (physics, biology, chemistry, engineering, computer science, mathematics); Social Sciences (psychology, sociology, economics, political science, anthropology); Humanities; Law & Policy; Medicine & Life Sciences; Business & Education; or Arts & Design.
- Demonstrated excellence in research design, data analysis, and ethical reasoning within your domain.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Proven experience providing critical, constructive feedback in academic or technical contexts.
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs with a high level of precision and cross-disciplinary awareness.
- Comfort working independently and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in AI model training or evaluation, especially RLHF.
- Cross-domain research experience or demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Passion for democratizing AI development by infusing diverse scholarly perspectives.
