Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as a Nuclear Power Reactor Operator and play a vital role in overseeing the safe and reliable operation of nuclear power reactors—all from a remote environment. Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and control nuclear reactor systems to ensure safe and efficient power generation in accordance with regulatory and operational standards.
  2. Respond to alarms and changing operational conditions, rapidly executing established safety protocols and corrective measures.
  3. Conduct real-time system checks, analyze operational data, and meticulously document all activities and incidents.
  4. Collaborate remotely with on-site engineering and maintenance teams to optimize reactor performance and minimize downtime.
  5. Prepare clear, concise written reports and provide articulate verbal updates regarding reactor status and operational events.
  6. Participate in ongoing training to remain updated on industry regulations, safety requirements, and the latest technological advancements.
  7. Contribute to the development and refinement of remote-operating procedures, ensuring robust oversight and swift responsiveness.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Certified Nuclear Power Reactor Operator with a current or prior NRC license or equivalent credentials.
  2. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity in all information sharing.
  3. Demonstrated attention to detail, critical thinking, and sound judgment in high-stakes operational environments.
  4. Proven ability to work part-time hours in a remote setting with a disciplined, reliable approach.
  5. In-depth knowledge of nuclear plant operating principles, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
  6. Experience using digital monitoring tools and remote-control interfaces for nuclear or similar energy facilities.
  7. Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Previous experience in remote operations for nuclear or other complex energy installations.
  2. Familiarity with current advancements in plant digitalization and nuclear cybersecurity practices.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the nuclear power sector.
