Job Description
Job Title: Hawaiian Bilingual Expert
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Location: Remote
Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe Hawaiian -English video content with precision, outlining clear and accurate timestamps.
- Describe and interpret the emotional tone and expressiveness of speakers, ensuring detailed emotional context is captured.
- Analyze and document complex grammar structures, tone, and language usage within diverse multimedia content.
- Define and elaborate on the conceptual aspects and cultural nuances of words and expressions.
- Collaborate with team members on advanced language tasks and special projects as needed.
- Deliver thorough written and verbal communication, maintaining consistency and clarity across all outputs.
- Uphold deadlines and manage a flexible, remote schedule with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluency in both Hawaiian and English, with the ability to interpret subtle linguistic and cultural differences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis—preferably within multimedia contexts.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret speaker intent, emotion, and tone at a nuanced level.
- Solid understanding of Hawaiian language grammar, syntax, and cultural references.
- Ability to clearly document and explain conceptual language aspects and definitions.
- Reliable self-starter with strong time management skills, capable of working independently in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in linguistics, language studies, or translation with a focus on Hawaiian or Pacific languages.
- Prior work with emotion or sentiment analysis in media content.
- Experience collaborating on language projects in a multicultural team environment.
