Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Norwegian Language Expert and leverage your linguistic prowess in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will play a crucial role in shaping high-quality written and verbal content, ensuring clarity and cultural relevance. This position offers the unique opportunity to influence how language is used across a range of communication channels.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create, review, and edit Norwegian-language content for accuracy, tone, and relevance.
  2. Ensure the highest standards of linguistic quality across all written and verbal materials.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to localize and adapt global content for Norwegian-speaking audiences.
  4. Conduct linguistic quality checks and provide feedback to improve content consistency.
  5. Offer expert advice on Norwegian language usage, grammar, and regional nuances.
  6. Assist in developing style guides and language resources customized for the Norwegian market.
  7. Communicate proactively with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver exceptional results.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Native or near-native proficiency in Norwegian, with demonstrated expertise in written and spoken communication.
  2. Exceptional writing and editing skills, with acute attention to linguistic detail and accuracy.
  3. Strong linguistic background or relevant academic qualification in language, literature, or translation.
  4. Experience with language quality assurance and content localization best practices.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  6. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  7. Passion for language, culture, and continuous learning.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience as a language expert, translator, or linguist in a professional context.
  2. Familiarity with industry-standard linguistic tools and terminology management systems.
  3. Understanding of Norwegian market trends and cultural nuances.
