Job Title: Assistant Editor - AI Trainer

Job Type: Contract (Full-time or Part-time)

Location: Remote


Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as an Assistant Editor - AI Trainer, leveraging your expertise in footage organization and scene construction to elevate AI models for video understanding. Apply your keen eye for detail and cinematic knowledge to ensure precise and accurate scene descriptions in a dynamic, remote work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Annotate video clips with accurate and comprehensive shot metadata.
  2. Describe on-screen action, camera framing, and movement with clarity and depth.
  3. Maintain visual continuity and consistency in descriptive tasks.
  4. Quality-assure AI-generated captions for accuracy, relevance, and fidelity to source material.
  5. Collaborate with post-production teams to provide feedback and improve annotation processes.
  6. Organize and manage shot logs and metadata to streamline project workflow.
  7. Contribute to iterative improvements in AI training data with actionable insights.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated experience supporting editors or post-production teams in a creative or technical capacity.
  2. Solid knowledge of cinematic terminology, shot logs, and metadata management.
  3. Strong ability to analyze scenes for action, continuity, and accuracy.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, nuance, and precision.
  5. Talent for providing constructive feedback and collaborating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  6. Organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  7. English proficiency at Native/C2 level.
  8. Availability to commit at least 30 hours per week for approximately 2-4 weeks.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working with AI, machine learning, or data annotation projects.
  2. Background in media, film studies, or visual storytelling.
  3. Familiarity with advanced metadata tools or editing software.
