We invite you to join our customer's team as a Portfolio Allocation & Advisory Evaluation Expert. In this pivotal role, you will assess and benchmark the quality of wealth management outputs, multi-asset allocation frameworks, and advisory presentations. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to shape industry standards in portfolio construction and advisory excellence from anywhere in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Review investment policy statements (IPS), asset allocation proposals, and overall portfolio construction frameworks for alignment with client mandates.
- Evaluate multi-asset portfolio structures, manager selection processes, fee considerations, and risk-adjusted performance metrics.
- Assess the suitability of recommendations, portfolio diversification, drawdown risk, liquidity constraints, and tax-aware planning decisions.
- Provide clear, structured written and verbal feedback on the rationale, analytical rigor, and presentation quality of advisory outputs.
- Participate in recurring evaluation sessions to benchmark and distinguish advisory proficiency across levels and firms.
- Identify strengths and improvement areas in asset allocation logic, planning strategy, and portfolio governance practices.
- Contribute deep insights on public markets, private assets, alternatives, and best practices for multi-asset portfolios.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in wealth management, private banking, OCIO, family offices, or investment advisory roles.
- Proficiency with asset allocation, IPS construction, manager due diligence, and multi-asset portfolio management (public/private).
- Sound understanding of liquidity horizons, fee structures, risk tolerance mapping, and tax-aware investment decisions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, critique, and articulate complex portfolio proposals and rationale.
- Familiarity with best-in-class portfolio governance and client reporting standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advising UHNW/HNW clients or multi-generational family office portfolios.
- Relevant designations such as CFA, CAIA, CFP, CIMA, CPWA, or FRM.
- Exposure to alternative investments, co-investments, or private markets.
