Join our customer's team as a Procurement Clerk - AI Trainer, where your expertise in procurement and passion for detail will help shape the future of artificial intelligence. In this unique role, you will both execute core procurement functions and collaborate with AI development teams to train intelligent systems, ensuring they excel at real-world procurement tasks.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Compile, review, and organize procurement data to generate comprehensive purchase orders for materials and services.
  2. Track and monitor the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders, providing timely updates to stakeholders and AI systems in training.
  3. Prepare, process, and distribute purchase orders to suppliers and internal departments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  4. Calculate and verify costs of orders, forwarding invoices to appropriate accounts and maintaining meticulous records.
  5. Compare prices, specifications, and delivery schedules to identify optimal suppliers and bids.
  6. Perform buying duties and assist in negotiations with suppliers when needed, documenting the process for AI learning purposes.
  7. Collaborate with AI developers to structure procurement workflows and provide scenario examples that enhance machine learning models.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or related administrative roles.
  2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  3. Strong organizational abilities and adept at record-keeping and data compilation.
  4. Comfortable navigating digital tools, spreadsheets, and procurement software in a remote environment.
  5. Ability to compare bids, analyze supplier data, and make sound purchasing recommendations.
  6. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
  7. Adaptable, with a proactive approach to supporting cross-functional teams including AI trainers and engineers.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Previous experience training, testing, or working with AI systems or process automation technologies.
  2. Familiarity with procurement standards and compliance requirements.
  3. Experience supporting digital transformation or process improvement initiatives.
