Job Summary
Join our team as an Offshore Civil Engineering Worker and play a crucial role in constructing, maintaining, and repairing offshore civil structures in Japan’s dynamic marine environment. You will work aboard a working vessel, handle specialized equipment, and contribute to major marine engineering projects while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in offshore construction, renovation, and repair tasks on marine vessels.
- Operate piling and heavy construction machinery as part of marine engineering projects.
- Assist in maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting vessel equipment and onboard systems.
- Support piling and marine construction operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and team leaders to execute assigned duties efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment on the vessel at all times.
- Comply with all company regulations and contribute to a strong culture of safety within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of Specified Skilled Worker Type 1 (SSW-1) visa eligibility.
- Male candidates with high school diploma or higher education.
- Successful completion of Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam for Construction Industry or Trade Skills Test Level 3.
- Japanese proficiency (JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 or above) or completion of Technical Intern Training Program Level II/III.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clear team interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, prioritize safety, and work effectively in an offshore environment.
- Physically fit and willing to work in varying weather and sea conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience in well drilling (percussion or rotary), frame working, reinforcing bar construction, scaffolding, or concrete pressure feeding.
- Hands-on skills in dozing, loading, excavating, road rolling, ironwork, painting, or welding operations.
