Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert feedback and guidance to improve AI models related to soil and plant science domains.
  2. Review, annotate, and validate data sets, ensuring scientific accuracy and relevance.
  3. Translate complex research concepts in plant physiology, breeding, and soil science into actionable insights for AI development.
  4. Collaborate with AI engineers and researchers to fine-tune model algorithms using your domain expertise.
  5. Develop scenarios and use-cases based on crop yield, soil management, and pest control for AI training purposes.
  6. Identify gaps or inconsistencies in AI outputs and recommend improvements based on current best practices in agronomy and soil science.
  7. Stay informed on the latest advancements in soil and plant sciences and their applications in AI technology.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Advanced degree in Soil Science, Plant Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in crop breeding, physiology, soil composition analysis, or plant management research.
  3. Strong ability to communicate complex scientific concepts both in writing and verbally.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in classifying and mapping soils, studying growth conditions, and evaluating the impact of agricultural practices.
  5. Familiarity with integrated pest management and crop productivity studies.
  6. Keen attention to detail and a rigorous approach to data validation and review.
  7. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative setting.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience collaborating on interdisciplinary projects or with data science/AI teams.
  2. Previous work as an Agronomist, Plant Physiologist, Research Soil Scientist, or similar role.
  3. Knowledge of emerging AI technologies in agricultural science.
