Join our customer's team as a Cinematic / Videography Expert - AI Trainer and play a critical role in shaping the next generation of AI visual storytelling tools. In this engaging position, you'll utilize your film and cinematography expertise to analyze, describe, and refine visual storytelling elements, ensuring AI-generated captions precisely mirror what appears on screen.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze short video clips from various audiovisual environments, focusing on cinematic structure and visual storytelling.
- Review and enhance AI-generated captions so that they accurately depict on-screen content, including camera angles, shot composition, and scene dynamics.
- Describe character actions, camera movements, and scene layouts with clarity, precision, and adherence to cinematic terminology.
- Apply industry-standard language to ensure accuracy, consistency, and contextual integrity in every caption.
- Collaborate with remote teams, incorporating feedback to improve caption quality and annotation standards.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all descriptions support immersive and authentic viewer experiences.
- Champion visual storytelling excellence and contribute to best practices for AI-driven video analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Professional or academic background in cinematography, filmmaking, or visual storytelling.
- Demonstrated experience in roles such as Cinematographer, Camera Operator, Film Editor, Storyboard Artist, Director, Script Supervisor, Film Critic, Media or Post-Production Assistant, Visual Storytelling Artist, Animator, or related fields.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to translate complex visual language into clear, descriptive writing.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in applying industry terminology.
- Proven collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
- English language proficiency at Native or C2 level.
- Availability to commit at least 30 hours per week for a 2–4 week project duration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-based annotation, video captioning, or media data labeling projects.
- Background in media analysis, pre-visualization, or academic research related to film and visual storytelling.
- Familiarity with innovative storytelling techniques or narrative-driven editing workflows.
