Job Description
Job Title: AI Actor
Job Type: Part-time
Location: Remote
Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of scripted prompts designed to elicit specific emotions from the Recommended Emotions Dictionary.
- Record approximately 3.5 hours of targeted audio-video content in collaboration with actors from diverse backgrounds.
- Work in dyads, pairing with another actor based on availability, to create realistic and dynamic interactions.
- Ensure all recordings are conducted in quiet, well-lit environments using high-quality cameras and device microphones.
- Follow precise technical protocols including ambient-noise checks, hand-clap sync for audio-video alignment, and use of Zoom’s separate audio file recording feature.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both in written and verbal formats, with the team and fellow actors.
- Participate in the vetting process to ensure equipment standards and contribute feedback for process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in acting, dramatic performance, or drama-based roles.
- Exceptional ability to portray a wide spectrum of emotions authentically and convincingly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Access to a 1080p (or higher) camera compatible with Zoom for high-quality video recording, adequate lighting, and a reliable device microphone.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and strict data collection protocols.
- Comfortable working independently and in pairs, remotely, with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail for maintaining clean, high-fidelity audio and video recordings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with audio-video data collection, especially for AI or machine learning applications.
- Background in remote work or virtual collaborations with global teams.
- Strong interest in technology and supporting the advancement of AI.
