Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Portuguese Language Expert to join our customer's team on a dynamic, contract basis. In this role, you will leverage your linguistic expertise to ensure high-quality communication and language services. Your passion for both written and verbal communication will be instrumental in supporting customer needs and enhancing overall language quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level translation, localization, and linguistic support for diverse projects.
- Review, edit, and proofread Portuguese content to guarantee clarity, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and effective language solutions.
- Assist in developing language guidelines, glossaries, and style guides for internal and external communications.
- Identify and address linguistic or cultural challenges to ensure exceptional user experiences.
- Support quality assurance processes by conducting language assessments and feedback sessions.
- Deliver constructive feedback and training to team members regarding Portuguese language usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese and English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong command of grammar, syntax, and language nuances.
- Demonstrated experience in translation, editing, or localization within a professional environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering linguistically accurate content.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and language technology platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or a related field.
- Experience working in a multicultural or global team environment.
- Previous remote work experience in a language-focused role.
