Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as an Icelandic Language Expert and play a pivotal role in advancing linguistic AI technologies. Leverage your expertise in Icelandic language, translation, and audio to help train next-generation AI systems while ensuring accuracy, authenticity, and cultural relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate, review, and edit Icelandic texts for linguistic accuracy and clarity.
- Assess and improve AI-generated Icelandic language outputs, providing detailed feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support voice data collection and perform dubbing and voice-over tasks as needed for AI training.
- Collaborate with audio engineering teams to ensure high-quality recordings and data sets.
- Develop and refine linguistic guidelines and workflows for Icelandic language tasks.
- Contribute expert insights to cross-functional teams working on product localization and AI language models.
- Remain up to date on Icelandic language trends, expressions, and cultural nuances.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Native-level proficiency in Icelandic with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in translation, editing, or linguistic research.
- Strong background in voice-over, dubbing, or related audio recording work.
- Solid understanding of linguistic principles and grammatical structures in Icelandic.
- Experience collaborating with audio engineers or familiarity with audio recording tools.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to review large volumes of content efficiently.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience training or evaluating AI language models or NLP systems.
- Background in computational linguistics or language technology projects.
- Experience developing linguistic resources or guidelines for language data annotation.
