Job Title: Data Quality Developer / Data Quality Engineer


Job Type: Full-time, 6-month contract (renewable to long-term)


Location: On-site, Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Region, United Arab Emirates


Job Summary:

Join our team as a Data Quality Developer in Abu Dhabi and play a vital role in safeguarding the accuracy and reliability of enterprise data for a leading entertainment service provider. You will design, build, and optimize data quality frameworks in an agile, async culture that values clear written communication, empowering data-driven decisions at scale.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and implement robust data quality rules, validation checks, and automated scorecards.
  2. Perform deep-dive data profiling to uncover anomalies, data gaps, and integrity issues.
  3. Develop, automate, and orchestrate workflows for data cleansing, standardization, and deduplication.
  4. Embed and enforce data quality checks within ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows, particularly using Databricks.
  5. Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports to visualize data health and quality trends.
  6. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Governance teams to investigate and resolve data issues.
  7. Document data quality logic, maintain up-to-date metadata, and contribute to shared data dictionaries.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Advanced SQL skills for data querying, profiling, and integrity validation.
  2. In-depth understanding of the end-to-end data quality lifecycle and practical implementation experience.
  3. Proven hands-on expertise with Databricks for data pipelines and integrated DQ checks.
  4. Professional experience with Atlan and BI tools (mandatory).
  5. Solid Python scripting skills for data cleaning and workflow automation.
  6. Strong grasp of ETL/ELT concepts and foundational data modeling knowledge.
  7. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document logic and collaborate in a predominantly asynchronous environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with leading Data Quality platforms (e.g., Informatica IDQ, Talend, Azure Purview, Collibra, Ataccama).
  2. Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
  3. Previous exposure to large-scale data environments within the entertainment or technology sector.
