Key Responsibilities


  1. Design, develop, and update maps using GIS software and advanced cartographic techniques.
  2. Analyze spatial data to support research, planning, and project development.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify mapping needs and deliver customized cartographic products.
  4. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and clarity of all cartographic outputs.
  5. Integrate diverse data sources, including remote sensing and field survey data, into comprehensive map visualizations.
  6. Document methodologies and maintain detailed records for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
  7. Communicate complex spatial information clearly through both written documentation and verbal presentations.


Required Skills and Qualifications


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Cartography, Geography, GIS, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and cartographic design tools.
  3. Strong understanding of spatial analysis, map projections, and geospatial data models.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively share findings and collaborate.
  5. Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for accuracy and visual storytelling.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, remote work environment.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with cartographic advancements.


Preferred Qualifications


  1. Experience with web mapping tools (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet, D3.js).
  2. Familiarity with remote sensing data and image processing techniques.
  3. Published or portfolio work demonstrating innovative cartographic solutions.
