Job Summary

Join our team as a tech-savvy Generalist to help build cutting-edge datasets. You’ll record everyday home tasks using Oculus Quest 3 following clear capture protocols. If you’re detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working independently, we’d love to hear from you.

Don’t own a Quest 3? No problem — if you’re a strong fit, we can provide/loan the headset after screening.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture short, high-quality first-person videos of common household tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, basic food prep) with Quest 3.
• Keep hands/arms/body clearly visible; maintain stable framing, good lighting, and uncluttered backgrounds.
• Follow strict privacy rules: record solo, avoid faces, and exclude any personal/identifying items.
• Accurately name, organize, and upload files; complete simple metadata (activity, duration, location type, notes).
• When requested, capture RGB-D/IMU outputs and follow basic intrinsics/extrinsics and calibration steps (we train).
• Perform light troubleshooting: storage checks, firmware/app updates, file export/transfer.
• Review work against SOPs/checklists and act on feedback quickly; share concise async updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ownership of Oculus Quest 3 is great; if not, we may provide hardware after initial vetting.
• Recent smartphone/computer and reliable internet for transfers (Drive/Dropbox; ZIP archiving).
• Basics of POV capture: framing, lighting, steady recordings, quick re-takes when needed.
• High attention to detail for file naming, metadata, and privacy compliance.
• Clear written communication; ability to follow detailed protocols independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data capture/content creation, metadata schemas, or QC checklists.
• Familiarity (or willingness to learn) RGB-D, IMU, basic calibration (intrinsics/extrinsics).
• Consistency in repetitive tasks and strong checklist discipline.
