Job Title: Generalists (Data Recording) — with Oculus

Job Summary

Join our customer's team as a tech-savvy Generalist, specializing in Data Recording with Oculus. In this hands-on role, you'll capture everyday household activities using Meta Ray-Ban glasses, contributing to cutting-edge data collection initiatives—all from the comfort of your home. Leverage your passion for technology and strong communication skills to ensure high-quality video recordings that drive innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Record short, well-lit sessions of daily household tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, cooking prep) per defined protocols, ensuring your hands remain clearly visible on camera.
  2. Name and organize video files accurately, upload MP4s, and complete metadata forms detailing activity, duration, location type, and key notes.
  3. Maintain compliance with strict privacy guidelines by ensuring no other individuals, identifying documents, or backgrounds are captured in footage.
  4. Set up and troubleshoot Meta Ray-Ban glasses, including Wi-Fi pairing, storage management, and firmware/app updates as needed.
  5. Ensure consistent camera framing and optimal lighting to produce clear and usable data.
  6. Utilize reliable internet connectivity and cloud storage solutions (Drive, Dropbox, Zip) for swift file uploads and efficient file management.
  7. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control checklists, and provide clear written and verbal updates to the team.



Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Ownership of Meta Ray-Ban / Meta Glasses (latest firmware; Meta View app functional) and a recent smartphone (iPhone 13+, Pixel 6+, Galaxy S21+ or similar).
  2. Solid understanding of video fundamentals, capture/sync techniques, and hands-on experience with file management systems.
  3. Reliable home internet setup and proven ability to manage and upload large files efficiently.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  5. Ability to follow technical SOPs, capture protocols, and privacy requirements precisely.
  6. Strong organizational skills for file naming, metadata entry, and activity logging.
  7. Comfort with troubleshooting basic device, app, and connectivity issues independently.



Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with data capture, content creation, or managing quality control checklists.
  2. Familiarity with terms like IMU, intrinsics/extrinsics, or calibration basics (training provided).
  3. Demonstrated consistency in video framing, lighting, and adherence to operational protocols.
