Key Responsibilities
- Directly interface with automotive customer quality engineers to address and resolve product quality topics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering, product development, and sales teams to drive product development quality initiatives.
- Lead 8D investigations for quality issues, deploying robust, systemic corrective actions that deliver results.
- Create comprehensive, customer-facing 8D reports to communicate findings and actions effectively.
- Assist the Sales team by providing technical expertise and support on customer quality matters.
- Support customer PPAP submissions and respond to documentation requests, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Champion continuous improvement and root-cause analysis throughout the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience supporting or developing automotive products or processes (Quality, Product, Test, or Applications Engineering).
- Hands-on experience with AEC-Q100 product qualifications in an automotive context.
- Proven track record in leading 8D investigations and creating detailed 8D reports for customers.
- Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal communication, with an ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Passion for working in cross-functional teams and thriving in a collaborative, global environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a drive for continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Failure Analysis Labs.
- Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- IATF or VDA auditor certification or related experience.
- Project management experience and a track record of direct customer support.
