Become a crucial contributor to the customer’s team as an Electronic / Mechatronic Engineer - AI trainer. In this remote role, you will immerse yourself at the intersection of robotics and artificial intelligence, annotating and enriching data critical to the next generation of robotic systems. Leverage your engineering background and communication skills to drive innovation from anywhere in the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze video footage of cutting-edge robotics systems and produce finely detailed, timestamped annotations from the robot’s first-person viewpoint.
- Precisely document robotic arm actions and the environmental context, capturing both movements and situational awareness.
- Collaborate closely with the customer’s team to ensure annotations meet rigorous quality standards and project protocols.
- Support the advancement of a ‘text → 3D model → action’ workflow that enables AI-driven robotic behaviors.
- Maintain strict attention to detail while capturing nuanced robotic operations and environmental cues.
- Deliver actionable feedback on annotation tools and processes to continuously improve workflow efficiency and data quality.
- Demonstrate self-discipline in managing tasks and meeting project deliverables within set timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Native-level English proficiency with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail for comprehensive robotic behavior documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, accurate descriptions from the robot’s perspective.
- Experience with digital annotation platforms and video review tools.
- Highly self-motivated and dependable, excelling in a remote and autonomous work environment.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management to ensure consistent workflow.
- General experience in data annotation; robotics-specific expertise is not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and annotation concepts.
- Prior involvement in video annotation or labeling projects with timestamped data.
- Background in STEM disciplines, or exposure to robotics, AI, or machine learning.
