Sales Executive

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

Base Pay: Commission-only (no base salary)

OTE: $120,000–$150,000+ (Uncapped)

Commission Basis: 10% of gross revenue on the customer’s first 6 months of collected payments

Bonuses: Quarterly Accelerator, New Logo SPIFF, Speed-to-Revenue, President’s Club

What VamosWatu Needs Now

VamosWatu is at a critical inflection point. Demand for affordable, embedded tech talent is rising fast, and we need a proven sales operations specialist to turn that momentum into structured, repeatable revenue. This is a lead generation and conversion role.


The priority in the first 6–12 months is clear: activate your existing relationships, convert prior accounts, and bring a trusted book of business to VamosWatu. This isn’t about waiting for leads. It’s about showing up with credibility, guiding scaleups through their hiring challenges, and helping them move from a place of pain to a place of resolve.


This role requires someone with a deep background in HR-related sales, especially recruiting and staffing (outstaffing); someone who knows how to sell capability, not just resumes, and who understands how to navigate founder-led, product-driven organizations under pressure to scale fast without breaking the bank.


The Sales Executive will be responsible for creating and closing $5.09M in new business annually (around 14 new customers), with an average deal size of $363,600.

What This Role Does

Activate Existing Relationships

  • The first 6–12 months of this role will focus on converting your existing relationships, warm contacts, and prior customers to VamosWatu. The ideal candidate brings a book of business and trusted relationships that can be leveraged immediately.


Create Pipeline from Scratch

  • Beyond the initial network, this role will build pipeline from zero using events, cold outreach, partnerships, referrals—whatever works. This is a demand-generation role.


Own the Full Sales Cycle

  • From discovery to negotiation to close, this role guides scaleup decision-makers through a high-trust buying process.


Drive VamosWatu's Message in the Field

  • Represent the company at founder events, tech meetups, and trade shows.


Educate, Not Just Pitch

  • Demonstrate why outsourcing is broken and local hires aren't motivated or capital efficient, and how VamosWatu’s embedded model builds stronger internal teams.


Understand the Dev Lifecycle

  • While technical experience isn’t required, fluency in product, tech, and team-building conversations is expected.


Keep the Machine Running

  • Maintain CRM hygiene and collaborate with sourcing, delivery, and marketing to align efforts.

Compensation

Compensation Overview (2025)

💰 OTE: $120,000–$150,000+ (uncapped commission plan)

Top performers regularly exceed $150K+ through accelerators and bonuses. Commissions are paid monthly on collected revenue.

  1. Commission: Sales Executives earn 10% gross revenue of the customer's first six months of payments.
  2. SPIFF (Quarterly Accelerator): Sales Executives are eligible for a quarterly accelerator bonus of +2% on all revenue collected above the quarterly revenue target of $1,272,500.
  3. SPIFF (New Logo): Sales Executives earn a $1,000 bonus for each new logo whose total contracted revenue equals or exceeds $500,000.
  4. SPIFF (Speed-To-Revenue): Sales Executives earn a $500 bonus for every new customer closed within 45 days or less from the date of the first discovery meeting to a fully executed service agreement.
  5. SPIFF (Presidential Club): Sales Executives earn a $10,000 annual bonus when they achieve 120% or more of their annual revenue target ($6.11M+ in new contracted revenue).
