Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Shona Bilingual Expert, where your linguistic expertise will drive high-impact language analysis and content transcriptions. You will work on diverse projects, ensuring precise communication and deep language understanding, while collaborating remotely with an international team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transcribe Shona-English video content with exceptional accuracy and clear timestamps.
2. Analyze and describe the speaker's emotional expressions and tone throughout each recording.
3. Evaluate and articulate nuanced grammatical structures and usage in both Shona and English.
4. Define conceptual aspects of words and phrases, providing clear contextual explanations.
5. Deliver comprehensive and insightful language analysis on complex linguistic tasks.
6. Collaborate with the customer's team to improve the quality and integrity of multilingual projects.
7. Ensure all work meets rigorous standards for clarity, detail, and cultural sensitivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Full professional fluency in both Shona and English, with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
2. Demonstrated experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis.
3. Strong ability to identify and describe emotional nuances and tones in spoken language.
4. Meticulous attention to detail in timestamping and language data annotation.
5. Proficient in analyzing grammatical and conceptual elements of language at a high level.
6. Ability to commit at least 15 hours per week in a remote work environment.
7. Self-motivated, organized, and passionate about high-quality language work.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience working on multimedia or language technology projects.
2. Background in linguistics, translation studies, or a related field.
3. Familiarity with transcription tools and collaborative remote workflows.
