Job Title: Dutch Language Expert

Job Summary

Join our customer's team as a Dutch Language Expert and leverage your linguistic mastery to enhance communication, content quality, and cultural resonance. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and fluidity of written and spoken Dutch for a variety of projects in a dynamic, remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Translate, localize, and proofread content from English to Dutch and vice versa, maintaining contextual accuracy and tone.
  2. Review and edit Dutch-language materials for clarity, grammar, style, and cultural appropriateness.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multilingual projects and deliver high-quality language solutions.
  4. Develop and update linguistic guidelines, glossaries, and reference materials for the Dutch language.
  5. Provide linguistic insights and feedback to improve content effectiveness and audience engagement.
  6. Support the training of team members on Dutch language best practices and communication standards.
  7. Ensure consistency and quality across all customer-facing Dutch communications.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch, both written and verbal.
  2. Strong command of Dutch grammar, syntax, idiomatic expressions, and style.
  3. Proven experience in translation, localization, editing, or similar linguistic roles.
  4. Excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  5. Attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  6. Solid understanding of cultural nuances relevant to Dutch audiences.
  7. Proficiency in using digital tools for language and content management.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Degree in Linguistics, Translation, Dutch Language, or a related field.
  2. Experience working in a remote or international team environment.
  3. Familiarity with CAT tools or other language technology solutions.
