Job Summary

We are seeking an expert Portuguese Language Tutor to join our customer's team, specializing in Brazilian Portuguese instruction. In this fully remote role, you will guide learners of diverse backgrounds toward fluency, leveraging innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools. Your passion for education and commitment to student success will be vital in creating engaging online learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and deliver dynamic, structured online Portuguese lessons tailored to individual and group learning needs.
2. Utilize online teaching platforms to facilitate interactive and inclusive classes for students of varying proficiency levels.
3. Assess students' language abilities through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive written and verbal feedback.
4. Create and adapt digital resources and lesson materials to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
5. Promote active participation and a positive, supportive online classroom environment.
6. Collaborate with the customer’s team to develop curriculum improvements and participate in ongoing professional development.
7. Maintain meticulous documentation of lesson plans, student progress, and assessment outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Native or near-native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese, with a proven ability to teach the language effectively.
2. Intermediate English skills, enabling clear communication with students and team members.
3. Proficiency in Japanese and experience working with Japanese-speaking learners.
4. 5+ years of experience teaching Brazilian Portuguese, preferably in online or blended learning environments.
5. Expertise in lesson planning, digital resource creation, and using online instructional tools.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to providing detailed, actionable feedback.
7. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, ensuring a seamless remote teaching experience.
