Job Summary

Join our team of Medical-Surgical Nurses and play a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care across our medical-surgical department. They oversee and mentor nursing staff while ensuring patients receive compassionate and thorough care in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in medical-surgical and ER settings, adapting to varied patient needs and acuity levels.
  2. Supervise and direct the daily activities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Nursing Assistants (NAs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  3. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes.
  5. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  6. Uphold current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training to ensure the highest standards of care.



Required Skills and Qualifications


  1. Current and valid Registered Nurse (PHRN) license and hold an active NCLEX Certificate.
  2. Proven experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate nursing staff.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, supporting effective team and patient interactions.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining patient confidentiality.



Preferred Qualifications


  1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  2. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  3. Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience.
  4. With at least 3 years of experience as Medical-Surgical Nurse
