Job Description
Job Title: Finance Officer
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Remote (1x onsite per quarter only)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage and oversee the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with tax regulations, and manage daily financial operations, including payroll, accounts receivable, and payable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and present Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and other financial reports.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvements
- Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection of payments
- Manage accounts payable to ensure timely payment of obligations
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparation and submission of necessary documentation to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Handle tax computations, filing, and payments, ensuring timely compliance with deadlines
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records regularly
- Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure all financial practices comply with local laws and standards
- Collaborate with different internal and external POCs to ensure smooth Financial operations within the organization
- Other relevant tasks may be added as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 years of solid experience handling Accounting and Finance, preferably in a start-up company and/or staffing firm
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including BIR compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in spoken and written English communication skills
