Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a Scientific Visualization Engineer (ParaView) and play a pivotal role in transforming complex scientific data into impactful visual insights. You will leverage your expertise in ParaView to process and visualize large-scale simulation datasets, supporting advanced research and innovation. Your work will drive clarity and understanding in high-stakes computational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced visualization pipelines using ParaView to interpret and present simulation data.
- Process, analyze, and visualize large-scale CFD and FEM datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout.
- Design and apply custom filters, scripting, and parallel processing techniques for high-performance visualizations.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into clear visual representations.
- Produce publication-ready scientific visualizations tailored to research goals and analysis needs.
- Document workflows, best practices, and technical approaches for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ParaView features, community tools, and trends in scientific visualization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in ParaView, including scripting (Python, ParaView macros) and advanced visualization workflows.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale simulation data (CFD/FEM) and domain-specific visualization techniques.
- Strong proficiency in parallel data processing and working with HPC or distributed computing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, insightful visualizations for technical analysis and publication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and cross-team collaboration.
- Solid problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and an analytical mindset.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating ParaView with custom analysis tools or bespoke research software stacks.
- Background in scientific computing, numerical methods, or related computational sciences.
- Familiarity with open-source scientific visualization ecosystems and contributing to community initiatives.
