Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced First-Line Supervisor of Construction Trades and Extraction Workers to join our customer's team. This pivotal position involves overseeing skilled trades professionals, ensuring project excellence, and fostering a culture of safety and productivity. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep industry expertise and exceptional communication skills to drive superior results in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the activities of construction trades and extraction workers on various projects.
- Interpret and execute project plans, specifications, and work schedules, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Monitor work progress, enforce safety protocols, and conduct regular site inspections remotely to maintain compliance.
- Resolve work problems, recommend measures to improve productivity and quality, and support professional growth among team members.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members through written reports and verbal updates.
- Oversee the allocation of materials, tools, and equipment, maintaining cost controls and efficiency standards.
- Document performance metrics and generate progress reports for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a First-Line Supervisor in construction trades or extraction work—this is our top priority.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction trades, industry standards, and best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crucial for managing remote teams and stakeholder interactions.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams in a remote work environment.
- Strong problem-solving acumen and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient with project management software and digital collaboration tools.
