Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a System Administrator, where you'll leverage your expertise to maintain and optimize critical IT infrastructure. As part of a high-performing network of remote professionals, you'll ensure seamless system performance and security while working with leading companies in Silicon Valley and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
- Manage systems configuration, applying best practices for scalability and performance.
- Implement and uphold robust security policies to safeguard infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues swiftly, minimizing business disruption.
- Monitor system performance, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external IT teams to deliver seamless technical solutions.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for system procedures and configurations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Linux and Windows administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with end-to-end systems configuration and optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a remote work setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating cloud systems (AWS, Azure, or similar) with on-premises infrastructure.
- Certifications such as RHCSA, MCSE, or CompTIA Server+.
- Background supporting fast-paced, innovative tech environments.
