Job Description

Job Title: AI Trainer & Data Annotator


Job Type: Contractor


Location: Remote


Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required, your domain knowledge is what matters.


Key Responsibilities

• Write, review, and rank AI-generated responses on a variety of topics and tasks

• Utilize comprehensive evaluation rubrics to assess accuracy, clarity, helpfulness, and safety of AI outputs

• Leverage tools like GPT and ChatGPT to conduct research, draft content, and annotate data

• Identify edge cases, errors, and potential failure scenarios in AI responses and document findings with detailed notes

• Collaborate with the customer's team to ensure continuous improvement of AI models

• Stay up-to-date with evolving best practices in AI training and quality assurance

• Maintain high standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and objective judgment in all annotation tasks


Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native or near-native English proficiency and based in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field

• Experience using AI tools on a daily basis

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail

• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical abilities

• Ability to commit at least 25 hours per week, with preference for those offering 35–40 hours

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage flexible, remote work


Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in data annotation, content evaluation, or AI model training

• Exposure to prompt engineering or large language models

• Background in linguistics, information science, or related disciplines
