Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Project Lead (Robotics)

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote

About Us:

micro1 is the end-to-end human data infrastructure behind AGI. Our AI recruiter model is used by frontier AI labs and Fortune 10s to source, vet, and deploy PhDs and professors from the world’s top universities at scale. These experts are placed directly into the training loops of the most advanced AI systems, powering the breakthroughs that move models forward. Our data platform converts their expertise into high-signal training datasets, and our talent management tooling measures, routes, and improves performance at scale.

Your Role:

As a Strategic Projects Lead (Robotics), you will own robotics data pipelines end-to-end. You’ll manage everything from data capture to final delivery, ensuring high quality, scalability, and efficiency across the entire pipeline. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and finance, and play a key role in driving execution on complex, high-impact projects.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Own robotics data pipelines end-to-end with clear accountability for quality and delivery.
  2. Design and optimize large-scale data collection and processing pipelines.
  3. Scale operations by balancing cost, quality, and throughput.
  4. Deploy and manage hardware systems (multi-camera rigs, RGB/stereo/IMU sensors).
  5. Lead data transformation pipelines aligned with strict client schemas and formats.
  6. Identify bottlenecks and build automation for validation, QA, and reporting.
  7. Define and enforce capture protocols, workflows, and operational standards.
  8. Translate client requirements into executable systems and processes.
  9. Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance to drive execution.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Strong experience with robotics or high-throughput data pipelines.
  2. Hands-on with sensor systems, FPS constraints, and multi-camera setups.
  3. Analytical and systems-oriented; able to optimize cost vs speed vs quality.
  4. Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
  5. Experience with large-scale data processing, storage, and delivery systems.
  6. Proven ability to define schemas, protocols, and operational standards.
  7. Track record of driving cross-functional execution and improving systems.
  8. High ownership, fast execution, and comfort in ambiguous environments.

Preferred:

  1. Experience scaling robotics data operations from pilot to production.
  2. Built internal tools for data validation, QA, or pipeline automation.
  3. Experience working directly with clients on technical data requirements.
