Job Summary:

Join micro1’s exclusive Super Star Program as an Electrical Engineering Expert, where your deep expertise will directly impact real-world systems and decision-making. This unique advisory role places you among the top echelon of electrical engineering talent, collaborating with our customer's team to solve novel, high-stakes challenges in complex environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in client consultations to assess and advise on new engineering pipelines and technical opportunities.
  2. Partner with core technical staff to drive innovation and inform research directions within your area of expertise.
  3. Create and review challenging sample tasks and scenarios for use in new pipeline development.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures, often with limited or incomplete data.
  5. Evaluate and communicate critical tradeoffs between cost, reliability, and performance in system design.
  6. Advise on the application of AI and emerging technologies within electrical engineering domains.
  7. Clearly articulate technical risks and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in advanced circuit design, system troubleshooting, and reliability analysis.
  2. Exceptional judgement and prioritization abilities in high-ambiguity scenarios.
  3. Strong systems-thinking mindset, with a holistic approach to engineering challenges.
  4. Outstanding problem-solving skills, especially when facing incomplete information.
  5. Demonstrated ownership and accountability in delivering impactful recommendations.
  6. Excellent communication skills, able to distill complex issues for diverse audiences.
  7. Deep understanding of trade-offs involved in real-world engineering and deployment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Track record advising teams on cutting-edge research or high-stakes commercial engineering projects.
  2. Experience with AI-driven solutions or advanced automation in electrical systems.
  3. Published contributions or patents in relevant engineering fields.
