Join our customer's team as a Procurement Specialist - AI trainer to shape the future of intelligent procurement solutions. Leverage your procurement expertise to train advanced AI systems in vendor negotiations, cost analysis, and product sourcing, driving innovation in purchasing and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to teach AI models about procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
- Contribute real-world expertise in buying, analyzing sales trends, and cost evaluation for both durable and nondurable goods.
- Model decision-making scenarios for inventory, product sourcing, and value-based purchasing within AI training datasets.
- Review and provide feedback on AI-generated responses, ensuring technical accuracy and industry relevance.
- Draft, edit, and refine training materials on negotiation strategies, supplier relations, and procurement best practices.
- Collaborate with AI development teams to iterate and enhance procurement-related AI modules.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate new insights into AI knowledge bases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Coordinator, or similar role within wholesale or retail sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of merchandise procurement, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, supplier options, and product value.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex procurement concepts into clear, structured information for technical teams.
- Experience in developing or delivering training materials and documentation.
- Strong collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in AI training, machine learning data annotation, or technical enablement.
- Experience introducing new products and managing vendor relationships in a digital environment.
- Familiarity with digital procurement platforms or automation tools.
