Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Outpatient Medical Coder specializing in Same Day Surgery (SDS) to join our team in Quezon City. In this 100% onsite role, you will ensure accurate coding and classification of medical procedures and diagnoses, working within established healthcare guidelines and compliance standards. Your expertise will directly support client requirements while maintaining our commitment to excellence in medical coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for outpatient Same Day Surgery encounters.
• Ensure medical records are coded in compliance with all regulatory and payer requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and procedures for optimal coding accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current coding guidelines, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
• Participate in ongoing quality assurance and coding audit activities to support continuous improvement.
• Contribute to written communication channels as part of our async-focused team culture.
• Support the achievement of coding productivity and quality benchmarks set by our client and organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical allied/non-medical allied course, Associate Degree, or PHRN license holder.
• Active Medical Coding Certification (CPC, COC, and/or CCS)
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Same Day Surgery Coding
• Demonstrated expertise in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding for same day surgery procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate code assignment.
• Proficiency in written English communication, aligning with our asynchronous team practices.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
