Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a Capital Markets Lawyer - AI trainer and play a pivotal role at the intersection of legal expertise and cutting-edge AI. In this unique position, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of securities and capital markets law to help train advanced AI models, enhancing their ability to interpret, draft, and analyze legal and regulatory content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and refine legal datasets and rubrics to train AI models on capital markets and securities law.
- Draft and evaluate regulatory filings, disclosure documents, compliance policies, and trading-related contracts for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with AI engineers and product teams, providing subject-matter expertise to ensure legal accuracy in AI outputs.
- Interpret and translate complex exchange rulebooks and regulatory guidance into actionable data for AI training.
- Identify and address gaps in AI understanding of securities and capital markets legal requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing AI performance and recommending enhancements based on real-world legal standards.
- Communicate findings and best practices to legal and technical stakeholders with clarity, precision, and authority.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and active license to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Substantial experience practicing securities or capital markets law, ideally with exposure to financial exchanges.
- Expertise in financial instruments such as stocks, derivatives, futures, options, and ETFs.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal English, with a focus on clear, precise, and formal legal writing.
- Proven ability to draft, review, and interpret regulatory filings, disclosure documents, compliance policies, and trading contracts.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and relevant authorities (e.g., SEC, CFTC, FCA, ESMA/MiFID II).
- Strong grasp of compliance, transparency, risk management, and anti-market abuse standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with stock exchanges, clearing houses, investment banks, broker-dealers, trading platforms, or fintechs.
- Background in cross-border transactions, international listings, or enforcement/investigations.
- Prior involvement with derivatives, commodities markets, or regulatory audits.
