Job Title: Computational Biology & Genomics Analyst

Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Computational Biology & Genomics Analyst, leveraging your expertise to review rubrics and ensure analytical rigor in genomics data analysis. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating and interpreting complex biological datasets, supporting cutting-edge research and experimental design. This expert-level, remote position offers the opportunity to shape the standards for bioinformatics and genomics workflows.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and assess analytical rubrics for computational genomics projects, ensuring they meet scientific and operational standards.
  2. Evaluate sequence alignment strategies and assess the effectiveness of CRISPR design tools.
  3. Interpret and synthesize results from integrated sequence and experimental datasets.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to recommend data-driven improvements and best practices.
  5. Document findings and provide clear, actionable written feedback to stakeholders.
  6. Contribute to the development of guidelines and standards for sequence analysis and data integration.
  7. Stay abreast of advances in computational biology, genomics, and associated data technologies.



Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Expertise in sequence alignment techniques and familiarity with tools for CRISPR design.
  2. Proven experience interpreting large-scale genomics and experimental data.
  3. Strong proficiency with platforms that integrate sequence and experimental datasets.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity and detail.
  5. Demonstrated experience as a rubric reviewer or in a related quality assurance capacity.
  6. Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  7. Advanced degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or a related field.



Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with designing or evaluating novel CRISPR-based experiments.
  2. Track record of contributing to bioinformatics pipeline development or standardization initiatives.
  3. Familiarity with regulatory or quality frameworks in genomics research.
