Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IOS Engineer to join our customer's team as a founding member. As the 2nd iOS engineer and 6th engineer overall, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the next-generation Wabi iOS app. This is a unique opportunity for an innovator passionate about Apple technologies, user experience, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on mobile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and refine core features of the Wabi iOS app using SwiftUI, focusing on speed and quality.
- Develop and implement advanced UI animations, shaders, and visually distinctive experiences.
- Collaborate closely with the founder and design team to prototype and ship innovative product features.
- Ensure optimal app performance, particularly for animation and resource-intensive components.
- Work in a flat, feature-based mini-team environment with high ownership and minimal micromanagement.
- Deploy features rapidly to production while maintaining clean, efficient code.
- Contribute ideas for enhancing user experience, aesthetics, and overall product excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5–6+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Swift and deep SwiftUI expertise, especially with Swift concurrency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for collaboration.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing beautifully designed, original, or technically sophisticated apps.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently in a fast-paced, nimble team.
- Commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and user-centered design.
- Genuine interest in creating delightful, surprising mobile experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Objective-C and UIKit, particularly in performance or animation-critical areas.
- Familiarity with React Native, including native↔RN bridges and porting native components.
- Background in building novel, experimental, or highly aesthetic software products.
