Job Summary:

Join our team as a Storage Backup Administrator and play a key role in safeguarding business-critical data within a leading, large-scale environment. You will leverage your technical expertise in storage and backup systems to ensure seamless data protection, business continuity, and compliance for our multinational organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor, and optimize enterprise storage and backup solutions (EMC, HP, NAS/SAN, TSM, Veeam, Data Domain).
• Execute backup, recovery, and archiving operations across Windows, Unix, and AIX platforms for a highly distributed infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage, backup, and data protection incidents under strict SLAs and high-pressure situations.
• Conduct regular system health checks, patch management, and ensure adherence to data retention and compliance policies (PCI DSS, NESA).
• Collaborate closely with IT, security, and application teams to meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and deliver clear, timely communication to stakeholders in English (Arabic knowledge is a plus).
• Support a 24x7 operational environment and proactively take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably IT/Information Systems.
• 5–6 years of technical IT experience, including at least 5 years focused on server, storage, and backup systems in enterprise environments.
• 3+ years as a Backup & Storage Administrator in a large organization.
• Certifications in Microsoft, TSM, Veeam, ITIL, MCSE, or similar are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Windows, Unix, and AIX platforms, and in managing NAS/SAN technologies.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large distributed environments with robust backup and recovery solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate technical issues clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within ITIL frameworks in organizations with 500+ staff.
• Understanding of PCI DSS, NESA, and other compliance standards.
• Fluency in Arabic in addition to excellent English communication skills.
